FAQs

  • For your first session, you will receive a Zoom link via email prior to your session time. Following your first session, you will use the same link for all subsequent sessions. Your therapist will wait in the Zoom lobby for 15 minutes, after which it is considered a “no-show” appointment. Make sure ahead of time to have good internet connection and be in a place without other people.

    Telehealth counseling uses a HIPAA-compliant video platform. Prior to your scheduled telehealth session, you will be emailed a link that will take you directly to the "client lobby" where your therapist will join you for the session.

    The office is in a large brown building on the northeast corner of South Temple and 400 East. Suite 260 is located on the 2nd floor.

    There is 2-hour parking available on the west side of the building (this parking lot can be accessed from South Temple). You can also park on the street on 400 East

  • If you cancel your appointment with less than 48 hours notice or do not show up for your scheduled appointment time, you will be charged a $100 fee for the missed appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your scheduled appointment, the appointment will be considered a “no-show” and you will be charged a missed appointment fee Your insurance provider cannot be billed in these circumstances.

    Your session time is saved for you and I can see only a limited amount of clients each day. Your commitment to this policy helps maintain a smooth and efficient scheduling process for everyone involved.

  • I am in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (Anthem / Regence), Select Health Med, Value, Choice & Care Plans (Not Signature, Share or Community Care), and EMI. Additionally, I am able to bill out of network for University of Utah HMHI plans.

  • The No Surprise Act (NSA) is where Healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate (Good Faith Estimate) of the bill for medical items and services

    You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

    If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
